Times they are achangin'

Not very long ago, I posted on here that I was taking Liz Wadman Photography in a new direction. I was going to switch over to travel photography and focus on that.

Here's one of the things that held me back. Traveling costs money and I don't have enough to travel right now.

But, I also looked around my room. I saw stacks of paintings no one has seen, sketchbooks filled with drawings I've never shown anyone, piles of things I have knit or crocheted, as well as notebooks overflowing with my poems, stories, and songs. I realized that I can't exactly place myself into one box.

Someone once told me that I should just focus on one thing and brand myself with just being one thing, rather than confusing people by doing everything. One of those "jack of all trades is a master of none" situations. But the more I thought about it, the more I accepted that all these trades are what make me, me. The crocheting, the painting, the singing, the writing, the mess of it all is what makes me Liz. I need to celebrate it.

So once again, I'm switching gears! Instead of offering the world one or two of my talents, I'm going to showcase everything I can do. This is also partially going to be therapeutic for me as well because sharing things you've created is terrifying, but also needs to be done.

I present to you lovely humans, Lil Bit Collective.

I once had Liz Wadman Creativity, but this name feels to fit the best. Plus, I'm recently engaged and don't want to have to change my last name and go through another rebrand, to be honest.

Lil Bit is one of my childhood nicknames, but also works because I do a little bit of everything. I also like to collect things, and this site is a collection of me.

There's a phrase that Kennedy Elsey of Karson & Kennedy on Mix 104.1 has championed, "Your Light is Needed" and I am attaching that to myself as well. Life is far too short to not share your light, your passion, your story and I'm here to inspire you to do the same.

I'd also love for this place to become some sort of community as well! If you read or hear something you like and you create something from it, please let me me know! If you would just like me to feature some of your stuff, let me know and we can work it out.
